Our very own Katulong ti Umili Mayor Evangeline Ingoy Verzosa was honored with the SINAGTALA Award by the Department of Migrant Workers–Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Regional Office I (DMW-OWWA RO1) in recognition of her outstanding partnership and unwavering dedication to bringing government programs and services closer to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families in Tagudin.
Derived from the Filipino term for the “brightest star,” the SINAGTALA Award recognizes individuals and institutions that serve as guiding lights through responsive governance, sincere public service, and meaningful community engagement. Through the institutionalization of Migrant Help Desks and the continuous support extended to OFWs and their loved ones, the Local Government Unit of Tagudin has become a vital bridge connecting communities with opportunities, assistance, and hope.
This recognition reflects Mayor Verzosa’s steadfast commitment to ensuring that no Tagudinian family is left behind, especially our modern-day heroes working abroad.
